Batch 2015
“I had always known that I wanted to be a doctor. So, after graduating from Pathways Noida, I put myself to work to go through a set of tough entrance exams for medical colleges across the country. I did a bachelor's in dental surgery (BDS) and graduated earlier this year after a gruelling 4-and-a-half-year course with 19 subjects -something I enjoyed because it had been my dream.
Pathways School Noida changed me, instead of mugging up from textbooks, it was about working on understanding and learning the concepts and practically applying them. This helped me during my college too. At PSN I felt surer of myself. It helped boost my confidence and prepared me for the task that lay ahead.
I am currently interning at a hospital in Kerala for a year. Work is tough and has been challenging particularly because of the rising Covid cases in all the hospitals. Patients don’t take this life-threatening virus seriously and do not follow the protocols. While it was scary, it also meant that as doctors we had the additional responsibility of educating patients and their families on basic safety measures.
Having gone through this phase, I now plan to do a master's in dental surgery and specialise in maxillofacial surgery or periodontology. As a Pathwaysian I am grateful for the learning and the experience I had at school – a place I am so happy I was able to spend my formative years.“
